Choose by load, floor and how it must steer.
Work out the load per castor
Add the trolley and the heaviest load, then divide by three, not four, because one wheel is often off the floor on uneven ground.
Match the wheel to the floor
Rubber wheels are quiet and protect smooth floors. Harder wheels roll easier on rough concrete under heavy loads.
Fixed, swivel or braked
A common setup is two fixed and two swivel castors, with brakes on the swivels.
