Which granule do I need?
Choose by where the granule sits in the surface.
Base layer: SBR
Recycled SBR tyre crumb is the shock-absorbing layer underneath. It is black, economical and does the work of cushioning a fall.
Top layer: EPDM
EPDM is the coloured wear layer on top. It is virgin rubber, colour-stable outdoors and comes in 21 colours. A thinner EPDM layer over SBR gives you colour without paying for colour all the way down.
Premium top layer: TPV
TPV gives brighter colours and stays elastic in heat. Choose it for premium play areas and courts.
Binder
Use aromatic PU binder for the black base and aliphatic (UV-stable) binder for coloured top layers so they do not yellow in the sun.
